How do I get tickets to the awesomeness?
Through the end of 2011 all shows are just $5.00, payable at the door. Cash, MC, Visa, Discover accepted.
Is there good parking available?
The Galaxy has a giant parking lot as part of the Hamilton West Plaza.
How can I book my band there?
If you’re interested in putting together a concert or art show or other event
at the Galaxy contact Jared at thisisthelonelyhouse@gmail.com. Please give a brief outline of what you’re
proposing, and either a press kit or a link to a website (Facebook, Sonicbids,
Reverbnation, etc.) where we can learn more about you and hear your music. All genres welcome!
Do I need an ID to get in?
Our events are ALL AGES. We are a drug,
alcohol and fighting free venue, so no ID is needed. All we ask is that you be respectful of our
venue and all the other fans at the show.
Is photography
allowed?
Typically yes, though if a band requests no photography we will honor their
request.
Is there seating at the
Galaxy?
The famous Galaxy couch still holds its place of honor at the front of the
venue! There may be other limited
seating available, but generally we are a standing room only general admission
venue.
Can I go out to my car and then come back in?
Of course, we ain’t holdin’ ya hostage!
We’ll provide either a wristband or hand mark to identify that you’ve
paid for your admission, and you’re welcome to come and go as you please. We encourage you to support our neighboring
businesses while you attend an event.
I'm a parent. is it safe
to let my kid attend a show at the Galaxy?
Our experience in hosting shows over the last 11 years as a record store has
been that by providing an open, welcoming, come as you are we love you all
atmosphere our fans have been completely respectful of both our venue and of each
other. That said, we always have ample
staff on hand to monitor the events, and have the well being of our
young fans at the top of our minds. And of course
we encourage parents to attend events as well!
Many of our shows will not be aimed at just our youth, so come on in and
join us!
